We engaged Samson Engineering for a remodel project to build a 2nd-level sunroom extending over a lower-level patio, including a rooftop deck on the sunroom. The project was especially complex because it involved undoing poorly engineered DIY structural work from a previous homeowner.
Cairole stepped in to bridge with her engineering expertise between the architect’s concepts, our construction contractor, and the many eccentricities of our existing structure. Her interaction and engineering knowledge was the key “glue” that allowed the project to move forward. She was available in a timely manner throughout the year-long project as new questions arose. Our construction contractor relied extensively on her advice and really enjoyed working with her.
The final structure is quite impressive and very rock solid. I strongly recommend Samson Engineering for residential construction and remodel work, including evaluation of the structural aspects of older homes.
